Expanded FMS Training Opportunities Coming this Summer
With the start of a new fiscal year, FMS is launching an exciting new training opportunity! A series of high-level annual seminars focusing on several different aspects of finances at Indiana University will be launched in July. Topics covered include financial policies, chart of accounts structure, and different types of accounting. Each session will be presented by an FMS expert ready to assist you in understanding how the financial process at our university works.
The first session, an Overview of IU Financial Policies with Kathleen McNeely, will be held July 18th in the Poplars building at 400 East 7th Street, Room 183. Bill Overman will present an overview of the IU Chart of Accounts and Object Codes on August 26th. Expect sessions in Accounts Payable and several accounting topics to become available this autumn.
Registration for these sessions, as well as additional information about topics covered, will be available on the FMS Training registration page: https://fdrs.fms.indiana.edu/cgi-bin/training/fis_schedule.pl/IUB. There will be a maximum of twenty-five seats available per session, so please register early to ensure a spot!
