Why can't I download my monthly operating statements from the FDRS to a spreadsheet application such as Excel?

Some of the reports, such as the Monthly Operating Statements, provide only the options of downloading the data to your browser or to a word-processing application. These reports are meant to be static images of the monthly operating reports that are printed each month. However, it is possible to run a report similar to your monthly operating statement using Datagroups, Datagroup Templates or one of the Pre-defined Queries that exist in the IUIE. This report could then be downloaded to a spreadsheet application where the data can be manipulated to suit your needs.
You should be able to extract the data you need in the format you choose using the IUIE. It may just be a matter of going to the appropriate place to find it, which can be a bit confusing since there are so many reports available. FMS does provide training (to register please see the current schedule https://fdrs.fms.indiana.edu/cgi-bin/training/fis_schedule.pl )
on the use of the IUIE. This class is offered every two months based on demand.
